Smarter Balanced Testing

All students, grades 6-8, will take the state’s annual test in Language Arts and Math on April 23, 25, 26 and 27. These tests measure how well your child has mastered grade level content as compared to his or her peers statewide. The state also uses these results to measure how well we are doing as a school. Therefore, it is critical that your son or daughter be present and ready to do his or her best on every testing day and make sure that your child:

*Arrives on time every day, so that he/she has as much time as possible to test.

*Your student is well rested. Adolescents need an average of 10 hours of sleep every night in order to function well. 

*Has eaten a good breakfast

*Is positive and confident about doing his or her best.
